How can I get a bright smile?
BriteSmile professional teeth whitening treatment consists of a whitening gel with hydrogen peroxide, activated by gas plasma light. The gel and light were Developer by BriteSmile, Inc. and are only available at exclusive Centers associated to BriteSmile. Unlike other traditional methods, with BriteSmile you won't need other gels or trays to continue the treatment at home.
All you need to do is sit and relax while our dentists, specially trained by BriteSmile, do the rest of the procedure. After that you will be able to easily continue the treatment at home.
BriteSmile light is not UV, or heat or activated by laser. It's a soft blue light, which complements the whitening gel to effectively whiten and give the teeth their bright in only one hour.
Why are dental implants so necessary?
As the years go by, our teeth tend to suffer certain damage and the need of some kind of permanent replacement of teeth is very important for our overall health.
Removable dentures and tooth bridges tend to have noticeable problems: they tend to be loose and unsteady.
Implants can provide an aesthetic and functional solution to people who need a tooth replacement.
The need of a system of teeth replacement has always existed, the only things required to fulfil this need are the tools and techniques.
A quién debo ver para asesorarme sobre implantes dentales?
If you want to replace the missing teeth, the best thing to do is to go to a professional specialized in that area and talk about the implants in your particular case.
If you think that implants are the best choice for you, the dentist or prosthetist will put the implants or advise you to go to a qualified surgeon.
In general a dental surgeon or periodontal surgeon is suggested for performing this part of the treatment..
The reason to wear braces
We are devoted to expand the limits of excellence in lingual orthodontics to provide our patients with a beautiful smile.
Nowadays we use smaller brackets resulting in an increased comfort for the patient and a faster treatment.
Braces may have a profound impact in the alignment and appearance of your teeth. It is also possible to reduce or even completely correct several conditions, giving you a more beautiful smile.
If you have gaps between your teeth, Dr. Cardozo may use a brace to close them.
What is the root canal treatment?
The root canal treatment belongs to the field of dentistry called endodontics, which deals with the nerve, or sensitive inner portion of the tooth. The root canal treatment, and other procedures related to endodontics, have helped millions of patients overcome their poor tooth health and, frequently, reduce painful problems.
In root canal treatment, the dentist removes the inflamed, infected or necrotic (dead) nerve from inside the tooth, carefully cleaning the area and then inserting a root filling material where the nerve originally used to be. These prevent the tooth rot from being exposed.
What are Dental Crowns and Tooth Bridges?
Crowns and most of tooth bridges are fixed prosthetic devices. Unlike removable devices, such as dentures, which can be removed and cleaned daily, crowns and tooth bridges are cemented onto teeth or implants, and can only be removed by a dentist.
A crown is used to cover a damaged tooth. Besides strengthening a damaged tooth, a crown is also used to improve its appearance, shape or alignment. A crown can also be cemented to an implant to provide the shape and structure similar to that of a natural tooth in order to have a better bite in the daily use. Both, ceramic and porcelain crowns, are made in a color similar to that of the natural teeth of the patient. Other materials such as gold and metal alloys, acrylic and ceramic can be used since they can be stronger and more attractive in appearance.
A bridge can be recommended in cases where there are one or more than one tooth missing. Those gaps formed when a tooth is missing can produce rotation or shift of the other teeth to that empty space, resulting in time in a bad bite. That imbalance produced by the missing teeth can also result in gum disease and temporomandibular joint disorders.
